"Sitting there in the dark, you knew that when the show began you would be taken to another world, a world full of color and music and glamor. And you think to yourself, 'My God, When are they going to bring up the lights?' "
~ 'Man in the Chair', The Drowsy Chaperone
She's all about the magic of musical theater and has been living and breathing it for as long as she can remember. With a strong dance background and her BFA in Musical Theater, she's diving headfirst into the professional world.
When she's not belting out show tunes or perfecting her soft-boiled egg hands, you can find her on the yoga mat finding her Zen or playing with her four-legged baby, Piper.
This Spring, Sydney was thrilled to make her professional debut at The Umbrella Stage Company in their record setting production of Hairspray! She was one of the "Nicest Kids in Town" and served as Dance Captain. She enjoyed returning to the Cape Theatre Scene this Summer in her debut at Cotuit Center for the Arts in their production of The Drowsy Chaperone, in which she performed the role of Janet Van De Graaff.
This fall, she will return to The Company Theatre stage, taking a "jump to the left and a step to the right", in their production of Rocky Horror Show.
Last Winter, she was an Ensemble Understudy in the production of T: An MBTA Musical, produced by Infinite Rotary Productions in Boston. Over the holidays, she returned to The Company Theatre (TCT) portraying Sister Sophia in The Sound of Music after her TCT debut last summer in the ensemble of their acclaimed production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Previously, Sydney was thrilled to originate the role of Dreamster 4 in a CCPA original musical of the same name written and directed by Tammy Mader, and composed by Ian C. Weber. Selections from the Cast album are now available on Spotify!

“The Hunchback of Notre Dame at The Company Theater in Norwell, MA...The female ensemble deserves special recognition. Acting as narrators and weaving in and out of the story, they elevated each scene they touched. Their precision and presence helped create the rich atmosphere of 15th-century Paris and gave the show a sense of cohesion and life."

"You'd have to work pretty hard to not have a good time at HAIRSPRAY...[a] lively production...frothy fun"
